Ariel Ajeno is an abiyan, writer, dancer, and independent scholar whose work focuses on gender, embodiment, movement, pedagogy, aquilombamento, and insurgent social reproduction. She began training capoeira in 2009 and is a student of Mestre Poncianinho of Mojuba Capoeira.
