Faith, Practice, and Belonging: LGBTQ practitioners in Candomblé

Come learn about the Afro-Brazilian religious practice of Candomblé and gain an understanding of some of the key differences between Candomblé and other religious practices. The talk will explore how Candomblé houses are a place of belonging for LGBTQ members and give a sense of how Candomblé houses are sites of activism in the current climate of religious intolerance in Brazil.
