International Collaboration to Combat Religious Racism

Candomblé communities in Brazil have experienced rampant discrimination and violence in recent years. Activists in Brazil have created numerous initiatives to combat these problems. This workshop will explore how people who are living outside Brazil (especially people from the U.S.) can help raise visibility about and fight against religious racism. Danielle Boaz will discuss recent projects and will lead a brainstorming session about possibilities for future collaboration.
